It is important that anyone waiting for surgery e.g. the knee, should exercise the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, gluteal muscles frequently - preventing unnecessary weakening of muscles & enabling rehabilitation periods to be reduced.

After surgery - it is important to mobilise, strengthen & stretch muscles, tendons, joints to expedite recovery.
